Post-Bacc Pre-Medical Bridge Admission
We are now accepting applications for our summer 2025 cohort of the Post-Bacc Pre-Medical Bridge graduate certificate program. No GRE needed to apply.
Application Deadlines
Below are the deadlines for summer 2025 applications based on submitted and verified applications from PostbacCAS*:
- Early Action Deadline: October 15, 2024
- Priority Deadline: November 15, 2024
- Regular Deadline: February 15, 2025
- Final Deadline: April 15, 2025
- Verified applications must be received by Agnes Scott by May 1, 2025 for applicants to be considered for 2025 admission
Important Note: It takes approximately 2-weeks for applications to be processed and verified by the PostbacCAS. Agnes Scott will only begin processing verified applications.
- International students who require an I-20 to attend are not eligible for admission into this program.
GPA Recommendation
3.0 - 3.49 minimum cumulative undergraduate grade point average recommended.
- Cumulative GPAs are calculated based on all undergraduate coursework completed from all post-secondary institutions, whether or not a degree was received from a given institution.

Application Requirements
This 12-month program begins in the summer and includes 36-credit hours of graduate study designed to satisfy the prerequisites to apply to medical, dental or veterinary programs.
Online Application
Complete and submit the online application, all application materials and the application fee through the common application, PostbacCAS.
- Once verified by PostbacCAS, you will receive a confirmation from our graduate admission team. It takes approximately 2-weeks for applications to be processed and verified by PostbacCAS. Keep in mind – the sooner PostbacCAS receives all your materials, the sooner you receive your admission decision.
PostbacCAS Application Fee
- The PostbacCAS uses a two-tier processing fee structure. Visit their website for details.
- Fee waiver requests should be sent directly to PostbacCAS.
Transcripts
Submit to PostbacCAS: Official transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate institutions you have attended, whether you completed a degree at that institution or not, with one showing completion of a 4-year bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution.
TRANSCRIPTS FROM INSTITUTIONS OUTSIDE OF THE U.S.
- If transcripts are from a non-U.S. institution, an official Evaluation of Foreign Credentials is required along with copies of transcripts.
- All applicants that attended a non-U.S. institution must be able to document their degree as being equivalent to that of a four-year bachelor’s degree awarded by an accredited United States college or university. Applicants must have their foreign credentials evaluated by a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (naces.org). The evaluation must include: course by course description, documenting equivalence to a regionally accredited U.S. bachelor’s degree (or the number of years toward completion and grade point average).
Letters of Recommendation
Two letters of recommendation submitted to PostbacCAS are required. Only academic or professional recommendations will be allowed. Academic recommendations are encouraged. If you have been out of school for 2+ years, professional recommendations are accepted.
Statement of Purpose
This is your chance to provide us a glimpse of who you are and why you want to be considered for this program.
- Submit a one-page, single-spaced (or two-page, double-spaced) statement to PostbacCAS that details your reason for pursuing this program at Agnes Scott.
Resume/CV
Submit a professional resume or curriculum vitae (CV) to PostbacCAS that reflects your experience. This resume can include full-time or part-time positions, internships, and/or volunteer experience.
Important Considerations
- Admission decisions are made on a rolling basis after the first deadline, so early application submission is encouraged for this competitive program.
- A review of an application will occur only after the file has been submitted and verified by PostbacCAS - incomplete files will not be reviewed.
- We recommend applicants submit their materials and application to the PostbacCAS 2-4 weeks prior to our deadline.

Post-Bacc Bridge to Medical Sciences Accelerated Master’s Program
The Post-Bacc Bridge to Medical Sciences Accelerated master’s program is an opportunity for students to complete foundational science courses and strengthen their application with additional coursework at the master's level to apply to post-graduate health professions programs.
Students enrolled in the Post-Bacc Bridge program receive conditional admission to the Medical Sciences Accelerated master’s. After one year of successful completion of post-bacc credits, qualified students will begin their master’s degree program. Qualifying students will meet the following requirements to begin their master’s coursework:
- 'C' or higher in every class completed as part of Post-Bacc program at Agnes Scott, and
- GPA of 3.5 or above for all coursework completed through the full Post-Bacc program at Agnes Scott
How it works
- Students DO NOT have to accept the conditional admission offer into the Medical Sciences Accelerated master's program.
- Health professions advisors will work with students to determine their best course of action while completing their post-baccalaureate: to accept the conditional offer after completion of the Post-Bacc program at Agnes Scott or to apply directly to the health professions program of their choice.

Post-Bacc Bridge students will receive a streamlined application from Graduate Admission to complete by the regular application deadline to apply for admission to the Medical Sciences Accelerated program.
- All students who accept conditional admission will automatically be considered for the Health Profession and Scottie Grant to help alleviate program costs.
